Beyond Bruegel offers a fully immersive experience into Brueghel’s life and work in celebration of his 450th death anniversary.

Tickets are also available at the entrance of Beyond Bruegel.

Visitors to the BEYOND BRUEGEL expo receive a 3 euro discount on presentation of their ticket at the ‘The world of Bruegel in Black & White’ exhibition at the Royal Library in Brussels.
The collaboration starts from October 15, 2019 to January 31, 2020.

 

Visitors to the BEYOND BRUEGEL expo receive a 2 euro discount at the Museum of Fine Arts Brussels until January 31, 2020.

 

Beyond Bruegel Expo will be open until 16h on Thursday, December 5th and will be closed on december 6th.

Accessibilty

Due to restrictions imposed by the historic building, Beyond Bruegel is not wheelchair accessible.

General remark: the experience takes place on the 1st and 3rd floor. These are only accessible by stairs. All rooms are equipped with benches to sit and take your time.

Plein Publiek is wheelchair accessible. Entrance via slope on the side of the Kunstberg.

The closest wheelchair-accessible toilet can be found in Central Station.

A CANDLE FOR BRUEGEL

September 10th (10am - 10pm)

Bruegel died 450 years ago on the night of September 9th. He died young, too young after a long struggle from a deadly disease. We respect his art and soul and burn a candle on the NOCTURNE of September 10th. Get your own free Bruegel candle at the reception. Gregory Johnson will play ' a requiem for Bruegel ' on lute. We’ll serve a special Bruegel beer.

BRUEGEL-INSPIRED MUSIC

June 16 - July 7 - August 4 (12pm - 2pm)

Gregory Johnson has studied the renaissance lute for five years and plays these beautiful 16th-century compositions during your visit to the exposition. The concerts are free.

BRUEGEL SUMMER LATE-NIGHT OPENING

July 2

The exposition is open until 9pm. End your late visit with a delicious drink on our summer terrace.

BRUEGEL STUDENT DAY

Every last Wednesday of the month

Visit Beyond Bruegel for €10 including a free beer or softdrink upon showing your student card.

KIDS ART DAY

Sunday, the 17th of November

All kids from the ages of 4 until 10 can visit Beyond Bruegel for free.
